MINUTES <br />City Counci_1 <br />Feb. 13, 19fl5 <br />Uloodlyn Ave. The Pngineer commenCed that the existing crossing, on Woodlyn Avenue <br />Update (Cont.) belongs to Fue1 Economy. The Engineer sugf;ested tha[ this be <br />converted i.nto a public crossing. <br />Mr. rahey sug~este<1 that the Attorne.y speak to the rai.lr.oad about <br />this. <br />The Attorney stated that he thought Che railroad wanted thi.s <br />cr.ossi.ng signaled and Chis would be costly. <br />Mr. Pahey sug~ested that the matter be Cable<I until the owners bring <br />the matter up. Pahey commented that if the crossing couLd be <br />used and the City did not have to have signals installed, that is <br />what shoul.cl be done. <br />Drainage The i3ng:ineer re~orted that he and the City Cler(c have met wi.th the <br />Distr~icts bond attorneys on the Ci.ty's approach to storm sewer. The conclusi.on <br /> has been reached that the Ci.Cy should po to a single drai.nage district. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 7 The CLerlc stated that the reasoning for this has to do with Uond <br /> i.ssu es, <br />Mrs. Scal.ze questioned why her nei.p,hborhood would have to partici.pate <br />in the cost of an improvement in another area. <br />The Engi.neer pointed out that the cost of a drainage improvement f.or <br />a small neighbor.hood mi.ght be very costly. Also, if separate distri.cts <br />are seC up some people might end up with five or six di.ff.erent <br />assessments. <br />The Clerk also pointed out that 90% of the Ci.ty drains i.nto Ditch 16. <br />Council decided to hold a speci.al meeting on this subject with the <br />bond attorneys so that they can explai.n the matter to the Council, The <br />meeting o~as set up for 7:00 P.P1. on Wednesday, i9arch 20. <br />Little Canada The Engineer reported that the CiT.y i.s ~aorking on the easements for <br />Road 13ridge the Little Canada Road bridge widening pro,jec.t. Mrs< Scalze asked iE <br />Project the City is paying for the easements. The F.ngineer repli.ed that i.t <br />tOgS. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. £2 The ~ity Clerk submitCed a li.st o£ costs in connecti.on wit:h T.he <br />project. 'Che Clerk explained that the Ci.ty will have to pay the <br />cost of the signaLs and that the cost of. the pipi.ng for the <br />emergency ~re-emption system is $16,000.
