MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 8, 1985 <br />Suburban Mrs. Scalze asked what would be done with auto parts. Alr. 0'Connell <br />Auto ~ody replied that they have an enclosed dumpster in whi.ch auto parts are <br />(Cont.) disposed of. <br />The City Clerk asked if the building had to be sprinlclered. Mr. <br />llacksworthy replied that the buildi.ng will Ue sprinklered. klacksworthy <br />also reported that a new concrete floor w:ith drains wi11 be installed. <br />'Phe office area will be redone and carpeted. The inside of the bui.ldi.ng <br />will be compleLely new. <br />Mr.. 0'Connell reporCe~ that his auto body shop will not Ue in the <br />business of buying and sell.ing cars. Therefore, there would not be <br />a proUlem ~oith outdoor storage of cars. Also, any cars stored outside <br />would be parked within a screened storage area and would be Chere for <br />no Longer than 5 days. <br />'Che Clerk poinCed out that the current zoning of the property is <br />Li.ght Industrial. <br />The City Clerk suggested that the handicapped parking stall be moved <br />closer to the front door of the buildi.ng. <br />Council suggested that a limit be placed on the number oF cars that <br />could be stored outdoors at any one time. Mrs. Scalze pointed out <br />that the License wil.l be renewable yearly and, Cherefore, the Ci.ty <br />could check on this when the license application comes back. <br />Mr. 0'Connell requested that the limitation be 15 cars so that he has <br />a little more flexibility. <br />Mrs. Scalze pointed out that the auto body shop wi11 be located near <br />some residences. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resoluti.on and moved its adoptions <br />RESOLUTION N0. 85-5-216 - ISSUING AN AUTO IIODY <br />LICENSE TO SUBURBAN AUTO BODY WITA A LIMITATION <br />OP NO MORL' TIIAN 15 CARS IN TEMPORARY STORAG~ ON <br />THE WEST SIDE OP THE BUILDING AND SdITkt TIIE <br />REQUIREMENT THAT TNE BUILDING BE SPRINKLERED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconde<t by Mr. 131esener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener~ Pahey, Collova, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution ap;ears ?n Resolution Boolc No. 12, Page 216. <br />Page -11- <br />
