yPIIJTES <br />Ci.ty Counci.l, <br />May ?_2, 1985 <br />Recess e\t Ch~is point i.n the meeting, 9:45 Y.Nl., Council Cook a short recess. <br />'Che meeting was reconvened at 9:55 Y.P1. <br />Larry Lee Mr. Larry Lee appeared beFore tkie Counci.l eequesting plat approval <br />YlaC for YorlcCOn Industr:ial Parlc, Phase II. <br />Approval <br /> Mr. I'ahey reported that T.he Planni.n~ Commissi.on voted II to 0 to approve <br />Agenda the plat with changes in the zoning of the '.7.och proper.Cy and with <br />Item No. £3 add i.Cional width on Concluit as recommencled by the City lingi.neer, <br />Mr. I,ee explai.ned the requested ~oni.np, f.or his property anct the <br />trading of property thaC he has done wi.th the "l,och's. Mr. Lee reportecl <br />that the 'I,och's w~ill be requesting 1)-3 zoning f:or the remainder of <br />thei.r groperty wi.th except:ion of the residential pro~~erty on tYie <br />south alonfl P1r. Lee's proposed residential street. <br />Mr. Lee reported that the only change in hi.s plat is 60 addiCional Eect <br />to the north of Che loch property that he needed in order to mai.ntain <br />a 3 to 1 slope. <br />Mr. 3.id Nadeau appeared betore the Council and asked why T]r. Lee's cul.-de- <br />sac had to come off Conduit and why it could not go through Lee's <br />industri.al property. Mr. Nadeau was concer.ned with i.ncreased industrial <br />traffic on ConduiC. <br />Council poi.nted out that it was not good planning to run a resi.denti.al. <br />road through an industrial park. <br />Mr. T'ahey sta[ed that he did not think the proposal would i.ncrease Che <br />industrial trafti.c on Coriduit. <br />Mr. }3ob Rudy aslced why the City is consictering widening Conduit. The <br />Pngineer explai.ned that the Ci.ty onl.y has a 33 fooc r:ight-of-way for. <br />Conduit. 7'he Ci.ty is proposing to take the additional ri~;ht-of:-way <br />where i.t can under this proposal. The actual olacktop ot Condui.t would <br />noC change. Mrs. Scalze sCated t.hat this has been City policy for some <br />time to take additional right-ot-way it needs when i.t can under a <br />development proposal such as this. <br />.ahey pointed out that as i.t si.ts Condui.t i.s a substandard sCreeC. <br />The City is not pr.oposi.nn to widen the blaclctop, just get the necessary <br />right-of.-way. <br />Mr. Nadeau sCated that he ielt Conduit shoul<1 be nm al.l. Che way Chrough <br />to relieve some of Che tratlic problems in the area. <br />The i'ngineer reporCed t.hat the Ci.ty currentLy requires 50 feet of <br />rip,ht-ot-way Lor residential strcets. <br />Paae -10- <br />
