Revenue Punds for 198G, Pub1.:Lc Saf.ety, or police ~nd f.i.re <br />protection, is Che hi.;hest. <br />The Auditor r.eported that there has been an i.r~crease in detinquenk <br />t~xes in t:he Ci.ty, but the Ci.ty sti.ll has a 98% collecti.on rate. <br />A1so, the CiCy has made efforts Co collect delinquent taxes. Also, <br />the delinquency rate for special assessrnents rece~i.vabl.e is up, but <br />it: ,is not terri.ble. <br />The Auclitor then poi.nted out the Ci.ty's special deferred assessmenCS. <br />The Cl.erlc reported that thc bu11< of [hese are deferred unti.l the <br />pr.operty i.s bui.lt upon, but Che Ci.ty i.s collecti.n~; inCerest on these <br />dePerrals.
