MINUTES
City Council
Oct. 23, 1985
Keller The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Parkway Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey.
(Cont.) Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 10, Page 548.
Frattalone Mr. Frank Frattalone appeared before the Council and reported that
Outdoor he is working on a proposal for outside storage on his property
Storage that was filled. Frattalone reported that the property has to
settle for a period of at least 10 years and he felt that this
Agenda would be good use for the property.
Addition
Mrs. Scalze commented that the code says that no permit is needed
for outdoor storage. Mr. Fahey stated that the intention of the
code is not to allow outdoor rental storage without a permit, but
to allow outdoor storage that is incidental to the business.
Ms. Nardini felt that the idea was a good one and felt there was
a need for this type of storage.
Mrs. Scalze pointed out that the City would not get much tax benefit
from the proposal. Mr. Frattalone disagreed.
Mr. Fahey was concerned that the property would end up with semi-
trailers parked on it. Mr. Frattalone stated that he would be
agreeable to the City`s placing some restrictions on the property.
Mr. Collova stated that he was not opposed to the idea and would like
to look at it. Fahey stated that if there were no strong feelings
against it, he would like to look at it as we11.
Mr. Blesener suggested a time restriction of 10 years for the use
of the property as proposed. Mr. Frattalone commented that he may
want to use the property for outdoor storage for longer than 10 years,
and felt that the proposal might be a money-maker for him. Frattalone
also pointed out that there is no sewer to the property and that the
road in the area moves around. Frattalone felt that the proposal
could be dressed up so that the Council would be agreeable to it.
Frattalone also mentioned having a resident manager for the business.
Mr. Fahey felt that the concept looked O.K., but did not feel a
resident manager would be allowed. Fahey suggested that Mr. Frattalone
discuss the proposal with the Building Inspector.
Frattalone suggested a trailer for an office or resident manager, and
pointed out that the property is located next to a trailer park.
Frattalone stated that he would contact the Building Inspector.
Page -13-
