MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Nov. 13, 1985 <br />Thul Fahey asked if Thul was agreeable to a restriction on his permit that <br />(Cont.) the permit woiald expire upon the sale of the property to a third party. <br />Thul was agreeable to the restriction for a third party, but stated <br />that when he retires his son plans to continue to operate the business <br />and did not want the restriction to apply to his son. <br />Ms. ~lardini suggested that the conditional use permit be subject to <br />a three-year review by the Building Official. <br />Blesener asked if the reason for the expansion was to get equipment <br />stored inside. Thul replied that this is correct and that he also <br />needed more working room for the business. <br />Mr. Blesener noted that the City has received letters from two of P1r. <br />Thul's neighbors stating that they do not object to the expansion of <br />the garage. <br />Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTI0~1 N0. 85-11-529 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON THE WILLIAD9 THUL REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT FOR GARAGE EXPA~ISION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by P1r. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 556. <br />PJardini asked if the Coiancil should request screening from the neighbors. <br />Mr. Thul pointed out that Heather Oaks has still not installed the <br />screening that they were required to do. Thul also reported that his <br />neighbor has planted lilacs along the property line that will provide <br />good screening in a few years. <br />Mr. Blesener stated that he could understand why the Heather Oaks <br />screening was not yet installed. <br />Mr. Thul also reported that he will side the garaoe addition with siding <br />that is compatible with that of the existing house. <br />P9rs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its acioption: <br />RESOLUTI0~1 N0. 85-11-530 - APPROVING THE THUL <br />COPdDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR GAP,AGE EXPANSION CONTIPIGENT <br />UPON THE EXTERIOR OF THE GARAGE MATCHING THE EXISTING <br />HOUSE, AT THE CONCLUSION OF MR. THUL AND HIS SON'S <br />OPERATION OF THE BUSINESS THE CONDITIONAL USE PERP4IT <br />WILL BECOME MULL AND VOID, AND BASED ON THE FACT THAT <br />~age -3= <br />
