MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 14, 1986 <br />Larry Lee Mr. Jeff Jacobsen of Jacobsen Excavating appeared before the <br />Grading Council requesting a 180 day extension of the Yorkton grading <br />Permit permit. <br />Agenda Mr. Fahey pointed out that at the time the permit was approved <br />Item No. 9 Council stipulated that it could be extended for 180 day periods <br />by the Building Inspector without Council action. Fahey directed <br />the Building Inspector to review the extension request. <br />Mr. Blesener reported that there needs to be action taken to <br />clean up the street in this area and to keep it clean. <br />Mr. Jacobsen replied that he has contracted with Rossi Sweeping <br />to clean the street. <br />Blesener also indicated that a silt fence is needed or hay bales <br />to keep dirt from running on the road. <br />Jacobsen responded that the property will be graded to drain to the <br />rear and this would resolve the problem. <br />Bingo At the previous Council meeting the Council voted to deny approval <br />of the charitable gambling license application to operate a bingo <br />Agenda hall in Little Canada. The reason for the denial was that parking <br />Addition on the site had not been worked out. <br />Mr. Tom Short appeared before the Council with a parking plan <br />for the proposed bingo hall. <br />Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-181 - RECONSIDERING THE <br />CNARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE REQUESTED BY <br />VARIOUS CHARITIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Nardini, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (1) Blesener. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 179. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked why this topic is being brought up at tonight's <br />meeting rather than May 28. <br />Fahey explained that he spoke with some of the Council prior to <br />tonight's meeting and they had no objection to discussing the <br />matter. Fahey also explained that he called a special meeting <br />for Tuesday, May 20 to discuss a conditional use permit PUD on <br />the property which would allow a bingo hall.
