MIPIUTES <br />City Council <br />July 23, 1986 <br />Accessory <br />Buildings <br />(Cont.) <br />The Planner stated that it is not uncommon to find accessory buildings <br />with 10 foot rearyard setbacks. <br />fahey stated that he was in favor of a 10 foot rearyard setback <br />for accessory buildings. <br />Mr. Blesener pointed out that before the ordinance was changed, the <br />rearyard setback for an accessory building was 5 feet. <br />Scalze questioned how this would effect small sheds that are usually <br />placed right on the property line. <br />It was pointed out that building permits are not required for those <br />sheds, and the ordinance is intended to cover accessory buildings <br />requiring a building permit. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-7-341 - INSTRUCTING THE <br />PLANNER TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />SETTING THE REARYARD SETBACK FOR ACCESSORY <br />BUILDINGS AT 10 FEET, TNIS AMENDMENT TO BE <br />REVIEWED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY AND PRESENTED <br />TO THE COUNCIL FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Nardini, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Bok No. 15, Page 399. <br />Mostad The City Attorney reported that Mrs. Mostad's attorney has hired <br />Property an appraiser and as soon as he has the appraiser report, he will <br />inform the Council. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 22 <br />Little The Attorney reported that the appraisals are done for the Little <br />Canada Rd. Canada Road project and the appraiser will be contacting the <br />Project property owners and hopefully will acquire the right-of-way. <br />The total of the appraisals is $65,000. The Attorney reported <br />Agenda that the City will pay for thQ easements and will get reimbursement <br />Item No. 22 from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. <br />Page -19- <br />
