MINUTES City Council July 23, 1986 Tennis Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Courts (Cont.) RESOLUTION N0. 86-7-345 - CALLING FOR INFORMAL QUOTATIONS FOR RESURFACING AND RECOATING OF THE TENNIS COURTS IN SPOONER PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Nardini, Blesener, Fahey. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 15, Page 403. Letter To Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adotion: Howie Prudhomme RESOLUTION N0. 86-7-346 - DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO SEND A THANK-YOU LETTER TO Agenda HOWIE PRUDHOMME FOR PURCHASING AND PLANTING Item No. 30b FLOWERS IN SPOONER PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 15, Page 404. Blacktop Scalz_e reported that the Park Comnission is planning blacktop Trails In tra~ls in Gervais Mill park that will begin at Edgerton and go Gervais to Spooner Park. This work has been held up over the past few Mill Park years as the Park Commission was trying to obtain grant money to do the work. However, the Park Commission is now planning Agenda to go ahead. Addition Scalze reported that the Watershed is requiring that the City silt-screen along the pond during the construction process and that a longer pipe be installed under the trail and into the creek. Scalze stated that the cost of the trail work is estimated at $20,000, but there will be a change-order due to the requirements of the Watershed. Bill Quirin Mr. Fahey pointed out that Bill Quirin has resigned as Chairman Resignation of the Economic Development Committee. Fahey accepted the resignation with regrets and stated that he appreciated Mr. Agenda Quirin's willingness to serve the City in the past. Item No. 31 Page -22-
