Scalze reported that in addition to the letter the City <br />received from the Recreation Flssociation regardin~ 6ervais f-1i11 <br />Parlc, the City also rece9ved a letter from the 55+ Club stating <br />that they ~~~ill donat~ 10 hours per rnonth towar<ts the development <br />and upkeep of Gervais i'4i11 Park and another letter fror~i the <br />Flistorical ~ociety stating that the.y ~r~ill support the Park <br />~aiith resources and materials as +r~ell as 100 hours oP labor <br />during tiie period 19H6 through 1988. <br />Scalze reported that these letters in adclition to the letter from the <br />Recreation Association ~,~ere requested as part of the City's c~rant <br />ap~lication for Cervais Ptill Par!<. <br />Canadian i-9r. rahey stated that he raould li!<2 to publically reco,nize and <br />Da,ys than!< the Little Canada Canadian Da,ys Committee for the ti~rork they <br />dic in conjunction with Canadian Days, Fahey stated t'nat this <br />Agencfa committeF has svorked hard over the last ten years putting on the <br />Flddition C21ebration. These p2ople include Fred ancl Sharon Clausen, <br />4lhitey and Joan Saii<o, Lance and Cindy 0'Banion, Darleen and f3i11 <br />Ricci, Ra,y and Kath,y lianson, anci Joe Vitale. Fahey also thanked <br />Don 7arnows'~ci for 'nis filming of various Canadian Day evcnts for <br />cable TV. <br />~ahey reporterJ that S'naron Clausen received special recoynit;ion <br />from the City of 7hunder (3ay in the form of a special citizen <br />a~r~arc! and p1aque.
