razNUTEs
City Council
August 13, 1986
Sylvan Str. The Enrineer estimated that if Lake Street were vacated, the
Imp. No. cost per front foot for Sylvan Street ~~ould be ~a172.00.
86-15
(Cont.) Graczyk suggested that since over 50% of the property owners
north of La!ce Street svere in favor of the improvernent, that
the street be put in in tnat area and end in a cul-de-sac at
Lake Street.
The Engineer stated that this could be done, but when the
southern portion of the str2et is put in, the assessments
will be higher for those property owners as there will not be
as much property to spread the assessments over.
Fahe.y suggested that the City consider the ~vYiole street at this ooint,
and if that is not feasible, then a half street could be considered.
Council discussed tivhether or not to table the public hearing, and
decided to do so pending further information from the City Fnqineer.
The City Clerk suggested that the Council might a~ant to order the
improvement to try to take advan~age of more favorable bonding
regulations.
