MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 28, 1987 <br />Allen Blesener noted that since the City only holds an interest for <br />Avenue the public in this property, the ownership of the property has <br />Vacation never really changed. Blesener suggested that the Engineer <br />(Cont.) look at the placement of the Tarnowski and Hammer home to determine <br />if the homes are placed on the property in such a way that the <br />property could not be divided. <br />Fahey noted that the matter of the vacation of a portion of Allen <br />Avenue is on the agenda for formal action on February 11, 1987. <br />Fahey suggested that in the meantime, the Engineer look at the <br />placement of the Tarnowski and Hammer homes and that, if possible, <br />the Attorney take a quick look at the plat to see if he can determine <br />ownership of the property considered in this vacation. <br />1987 The City Planner submitted for approval a 1987 planning contract <br />Planner's between the City and Northwest Associates. <br />Contract <br />Blesener pointed out that there was no increase in planning rates <br />Agenda for 1986. Blesener noted that while there is a 33% increase for <br />Item No.16 senior planner, this is the first increase since the 1985 contract, <br />and the City uses the services of a senior planner the majority of <br />the time, which are less costly than the services of Mr. Licht, <br />President of Northwest Associates. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-34 - APPROVING THE 1987 <br />PLANNER S CONTRACT I~ITH NORTHWEST ASSOCIATES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 35. <br />Cable TV Mr. Fahey requested authorization to spend up to $4,000 for the purchase <br />Camera of new Cable TV camera equipment. The camera that has been decided <br />Equipment upon is made by RCA and is a low-light camera. Fahey reported that <br />funds for the purchase of the camera equipment would come from the <br />Agenda City's allocation from the Cable TV franchise. Fahey also pointed <br />Item No. 17 out that two cameras would be purchased, one for use in broadcasting <br />Council meetings, and the other would be more portable for broadcasting <br />community events. <br />Mr. LaValle asked if the City should obtain bids for this equipment. <br />Page -13- <br />
