MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 28, 1987 <br />Cable TV Fahey reported that Mr. Tarnowksi has obtained prices from a couple <br />Cameras of different dealers and has been looking into this purchase for <br />(Cont.) the past few months. However, Fahey agreed that Tarnowski should <br />obtain written quotations from at least three different dealers. <br />Fahey felt Tarnowski should be authorized to use his discretion <br />in determining the low bid, taking into consideration service of <br />the equipment, and then proceed to purchase the equipment from the <br />low bidder. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-35 - AUTHORIZING DON <br />TARNOWSKI TO O~TAIN INFORMAL BIDS ON CABLE <br />TV CAMERA EQUIPMENT A~1D AUTHORIZING MR. TARNOWSKI <br />TO USE HIS DISCRETION IN PURCHASING THE EQUIPMENT <br />CONSIDERING NOT ONLY THE EQUIPMENT INVOIVED, BUT <br />ALSO SERVICE OF SUCN EQUIPMENT, AT A COST NOT <br />TO EXCEED $4,000.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collov, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 36. <br />Character Fahey reported that the North Suburban Cable Commission is recommending <br />Generator that participating cities request the North Suburban Access Corporation <br />to purchase a new character generator. The estimated cost of this <br />Agenda equipment is $5,100 and would be paid for from the Grant Access <br />Item No. 17 Foundation. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-36 - REQUESTING TNE <br />NORTH SUBURBAN ACCESS CORPORATION TO <br />PURCHASE A NEW CHARACTER GENERATOR IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S CABLE TV <br />SYSTEM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 37. <br />Scalze asked how to locate the index listing that was previously <br />on Channel 3.
