MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 28, 1987 <br />Personnel Mr. Fahey felt that at this time the Council could act on the <br />Ordinance question of the number of sick leave days provided an employee <br />(Cont.) in a calendar year. Fahey noted that the current amount of sick <br />days was a typographical error, and it was the Council's intention <br />to provide a full-time emp1oyee with 12 sick days per year. <br />Council discussed whether the ordinance should be effective January 1 <br />or February 1, 1987. Council decided to make the effective date <br />February l, 1987 which will provide full-time employees with 12 1/2 <br />sick days for 1987. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE N0. 280 - AMENDING SECTION 209.120 (A) <br />RELATING TO SICK LEAVE <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Fahey commented that the remaining issues with regard to the personnel <br />ordinance will be tabled until February. <br />Vouchers Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Agenda RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-42 - APPROVING THE <br />Item No. 24 VOUCNERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 43. <br />Hospital- The City Clerk submitted to the Council for information purposes <br />ization employee hospitalization rates for 1987. <br />Agenda LaValle noted that the rate increase is for a two-year period. <br />Item No. 23 <br />1987 Fire The Fire Department submitted for approval their 1987 Fire Contract. <br />Contract <br />Agenda <br />Addition Page -20- <br />
