MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 28, 1987 <br />Street RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-40 - CALLIN6 FOR <br />Sweeping STREET SWEEPING BIDS FOR 1987 <br />Bids (Cont.) <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, ~aValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 41. <br />Sewer & Mr. Blesener suggested that action on the 1987 Sewer and Water Budgets <br />Water be tabled until February. Blesener reported that he had a few <br />Budget questions about the budget that he wanted to resolve before the <br />Council takes action. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 20 <br />Bike Path Mrs. Scalze reported that the Park Commission is concerned about the <br />Around timetable for installation of a bike path around Lake Gervais. <br />Gervais Scalze suggested that a letter be sent to the County, with a copy <br />to Duane McCarthy, asking their plans for a bike path on the <br />Agenda north side of the lake. <br />Item No. 21 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-41 - DIRECTING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO SEND A LETTER TO THE COUNTY WITH A <br />COPY TO DUANE McCARTHY REQUESTING THE STATUS <br />AND TIMETABLE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF BIKE <br />PATHS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LAKE GERVAIS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 42. <br />Personnel Mr. LaValle requested that action be tabled on the City's personnel <br />Policy policy until sometime in February. LaValle reported that he has <br />done a survey of City full-time and permanent part-time employees <br />Agenda and would like to review their comments prior to action on the <br />Item No. 22 proposed ordinance. LaValle stated that he would also like to <br />review the Metropolitan Council's report on Group 6 cities, under <br />which Little Canada is classified, to look at benefits other <br />cities are providing. <br />Council also discussed compensation time and Mr. Fahey indicated <br />that it was his understanding that only employees in a supervisory <br />position are eligible for comp time. <br />Page -19- <br />
