MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 8, 2025 <br />Kwapick asked if the funding is limited to sidewalks and trails. <br />The City Administrator confirmed that these funds would apply to a pedestrian network. <br />Malone asked who would do the needs analysis. <br />The City Administrator replied that the engineering staff would complete that analysis. He explained <br />that this action would apply for the state grant which would assist in covering the expenses to develop <br />the SRTS plan. <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-1-9 — A UTHORIZING AN APPLICA TION TO MNDOT'S SAFE <br />ROUTES TO SCHOOL PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Guiierrez. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2025 CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS <br />The City Clerk explained that this is the annual action of the Council to make appointments to various <br />commissions and boards. She stated that the proposed appointments as recommended by Mayor <br />Fischer were included in the packet. <br />Mayor Fischer briefly reviewed the proposed appointments. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />—APPROVING <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SET CITY COUNCIL 2025 MEETING CALENDAR <br />The City Clerk explained that tonight the Council is asked to consider the 2025 meeting calendar and <br />provided a brief review. <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-1-11— ADOPTING THE 2025 CITY CO UNCIL MEETING AND <br />COUNCIL WORKSHOP SCHED ULE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5).
