MINUTES
City Council
April 22, 1987
Boosalis Scalze reported that the Park Commission is recommending that
(Cont.) park dedication be in cash rather than land as provided for under
the ordinance.
Collova asked why a ponding area would be required as well as a
cash park dedication.
Scalze indicated that the issues of ponding and park dedication
are separate ones.
Fahey agreed that the development was required to provide on-site
ponding.
The Engineer reported that he submitted a letter recommending that
at this time the area be held for drainage purposes.
Blesener pointed out the amount of run-off this development would
add considering the roof area as well as blacktopped areas.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 87-4-156 - GRANTING CONCEPT
APPROVAL TO THE BOOSALIS REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT AND PUD SUBJECT TO THE RECOPIMENDATIONS
OF THE CITY PLANMER AS CONTAINED IN HIS APRIL 2, 1987
REPORT AND IN THE ABSENCE OF TAX INCREMENT FI~dANCING
FOR THIS PROPOSAL IN LIGHT OF THE PROPOSAL MEETING
CITY CODE REQUIREMENTS LEAVING OPEP1 THE QUESTION
OF THE GREEN AREA ON THE PROPERTY AND WHETHER OR
NOT IT SHOULD 6E DEDICATED TO THE CITY AS AN OUTLOT
FOR DRAINAGE PURPOSES SUBJECT TO FURTHER INPUT FROM
THE CITY ENGINEER IN THIS REGARD, AND FURTHER
SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PARK COMMISSION
THAT TNE PARK CHARGE FOR THIS DEVELOPMENT BE IN
CASH RATHER TNAN LAND AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER CITY
ORDINANCE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Pages 169 and 170.
Knox Fahey reported that the Knox Lumber PUD request was recently tabled
Lumber PUD by the Planning Commission as no one was present from Knox to
present the proposal.
