r~INUrEs <br />City Council <br />April 22, 1987 <br />Knox Council decided to hold the public hearing, but table action until <br />(Cont.) it has a recommendation from the Planning Commission. <br />Fahey opened the public hearing on the Knox proposal for a PUD <br />to expand its existing retail space to the north and redevelop <br />the garden center at the store. <br />Jamison reported that the addition would consist of 8,800 square <br />feet and would replace the existing garden center. <br />Scalze asked if the Knox building were sprinklered, <br />Jamison replied that it was. <br />Blesener asked if there would be any variance required if the proposal <br />were not handled under a PUD. <br />The Planner replied that setbacks conform to Code requirements. <br />Scalze asked if on the original site plan this area was to be green <br />space. <br />The Planner replied that he could not find the original plans to <br />answer this question. <br />Fahey suggested that in order to expedite the matter which will not <br />come before the Council until its second meeting in May, that if <br />the developer is willing to pay the cost in the event the proposal <br />is not approved, that the Planner and Attorney could proceed to <br />put together a PUD Agreement for this proposal. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment <br />on this proposal. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-4-157 - CLOSING THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE KNOX LUMBER PUD <br />REQUEST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 171. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Page -10- <br />
