MINUTES
City Council
May 13, 1987
Boosalis The City Engineer submitted a letter dated May 6, 1987 recommending
Project approval of the Boosalis project provided that the ponds in the east
portion of the property are dedicated as d rainage easements and that
Agenda erosion control be done in accordance with the DNR's requirements.
Item No. 7
Council noted that this recommendation was for Council information
at this point.
Heather The City Engineer recommended that the Heather Oaks sanitary sewer
Oaks easement be extended in order to access the sewer for maintenance
Extension purposes.
Of Utility
Easement Qlesener noted that the easement needed to be extended to the west.
Agenda Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Item No. 8
RESOLUTION N0. 87-5-196 - APPROVING THE EXTENSION
OF THE HEATHER OAKS SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT BASED
ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova.
Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book Dlo. 17, Page 214.
Twin Lake Mayor Fahey pointed out the report the City has received from the
Trail Highway Department regarding landscaping within their highway easement
Landscaping along Twin Lake Trail. Fahey noted that any cost incurred in this
matter would have to be assessed against the property owners on Twin
Agenda Lake Trail.
Item No. 16b
Fahey reported that rather than construct a berm as the property owners
are requesting, the Highway Department is suggesting that the area
be landscaped and have prepared a landscape plan.
Jerry Bergeron, resident on Twin Lake Trail, indicated that it is the
feeling of the property owners that the berm will not be as expensive
to construct as estimated by the Highway Department. Bergeron felt
that there will be additional fill in the City that can be gotten
at no charge. ~ergeron also informed the Council of decible readings
that he took in 1984 showing that noise levels along Twin Lake Trail
are at 76.76 DBA's which exceed the State's standards of 60 DBA's.
Council discussed various sources of fill material and it was felt
that there will be excess fill material in conjunction with the Little
Canada Road bridge widening project as well as the Demont Street
improvement.
Page -3-
