P~INUTES
City Council
P1ay ?_7, 1987
Kaiser- RESOLUTION P10. 87-5-232 - APPROVING THE
Schorn KAISERSCHORDI SUBDIVISION AS PRESENTED
Subdivision SUBJECT TO THE RECOMPIENDATIONS OF TNE
(Cont. ) CITY PLAPINER AND CITY EPlGINEER AP1D
CITY ATTORNEY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey.
Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey,Collova, Scalze, LaValle.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
Art Ryan Mr. Art Ryan appeared before the Council requesting concept approval
PUD for an amendment to a PUD Agreement so that he can construct four
Amendment buildings on the back of Lot 5, Block 4, Ryan Industrial Park.
Agenda Scalze noted that when P1r. Ryan divided the lots to the west, the
Item No. 12 City asked his intentions for the back of Lot 5, Block A and Ryan
indicated that it would be used for storage.
Ryan agreed, but indicated that the company who owned the building
is moving out and he may reacquire the property if he can make use
of the back portion. Ryan stated that the buildings he plans to
construct would be small warehouse buildings.
Fahey commented that he was concerned with the use of a PUD in order
to put four additional structures on a property that already has a
principle building.
Ryan stated that the parcel would still be retained under one
ownership.
Scalze pointed out that the future could not be predicted. Scalze
also noted that this back property does not have frontage on a public
street and that the City denied a similar request of another developer.
Fahey felt that approval of this proposal would be a step backwards.
Ryan pointed out that the Council approved the annexation of this
back property to Lot 5, Block 4.
Fahey replied that the City required the annexation and that the
Council expected Ryan to do what he presented to the Council, that
is that the area would be used for contractor's storage. Fahey
suggested Ryan get a tenant for the property that can use it as
such.
Ryan thought that would be difficult.
Scalze did not think the proposed development would help Ryan
Industrial Park.
Page -11-
