MINUTES
City Council
May 27, 1987
Wright
Property
Division
(Cont.)
Boosalis
Development
Fgenda
Item ~o. 14
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 87-5-234 - AUTHORIZ.ING
THE CITY ATTORNEY TO OBTAIN AN EASEME~IT
FOR NOEL DRIVE AS ABUTTS THE PLESSEL
PROPERTY A~ID ADVISING MR. ~ARIGHT THAT
THE COST OF THE EASEP4E~IT WILL BE
ASSESSED AGAINST THE DEVELOPMEPJT IN
ORDER TO BRIPJ6 THE IMPROVEMENT UP TO
CITY STANDARDS AND AS A CONDITION OF
THE SUBDIVISION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Scalze.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 252.
Mr. Nick Qoosalis appeared before the Council requesting development
stage PUD approval for his development at Rice Street and County
Road C. Boosalis reported that he has submitted a new site plan
which complies with the recommendations of the City Planner.
Boosalis reported that he has been looking into the concept of
doing a townhome development on the property immediately north
of his proposal and a portion of the Dr. Krienke property. Boosalis
also reported that he has checked with the DNR and the low area of
the Krienke property is not a protected wetland.
The Planner noted that the property to the north is zoned R-1 and
the Krienke property is zoned B-3.
Scalze did not feel a townhome development would be acceptable to
the Iona Lane residents.
Boosalis reported that he was bringing the matter up to address the
issue of ponding.
Fahey felt townhomes might be feasible in the B-3 area, but single
family should be developed on the R-1 property. Fahey asked the
City Engineer's feeling with regard to the wetland.
The Engineer recommended that this area be retained for drainage
purposes.
The Planner reported that Boosalis is seeking development stage
PUD for the property on Rice and County Road C and the property
to the north is not a part of this PUD.
Scalze asked why a PUD ~+~as being requested.
Page -15-
