MINUTES
City Council
May 27, 1987
Capital Scalze again pointed out that Roseville's tactics worked and Fairview
View (Cont.) is now a community center.
Blesener pointed out that the Little Canada Elementary School needs
to be expanded and the money from the sale of any buildings in the
School District should go there first.
Fahey stated that he thinks the Council is in agreement that the whole
parcel should not be rezoned. There is also the opinion that the
School District should retain the outside facilities for the City's
use and some portion of the building for a community center.
Scalze pointed out that when the School District gets community
education dollars from the State, these are the City's tax dollars
and the decision as to where these dollars will be spent becomes
political. Scalze stated that if the City does not make a pitch for
spending these dollars in the City, no one else will.
Fahey felt he had adequate guidance for his meeting with Worner.
Vouchers Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Agenda RESOLUTIOPI N0. 87-5-244 - APPROVI~IG THE
Item f.o. 26a VOUCHERS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Collova, Scalze, alesener, Fahey.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 263.
Employee LaValle reported that he received a letter from an employee regarding
Insurance a problem he is having with the City's health insurance coverage.
LaValle reported that he will discuss this problem with the employee,
Agenda and felt it could be worked out.
Addition
blright Fahey reported that Mr. and Mrs. Nlright have expressed interest in
Tax Increment taking several items from their home.
