MINUTES
City Council
June 10, 1987
Curbing
Concerns
(Cont.)
Henningsen asked if there was a scheduled completion date for the
project.
The Engineer reported that he would have to review the contract to
answer that question.
Henningsen was concerned about the area from the curb into his
driveway.
The Engineer replied that the next step is to finish the driveways,
and the contractor will minimize any bumps in this area.
Fahey suggested that the property owners give the project time to
be completed. If the project meets specs, the Council may determine
it reasonable to install curb cuts, and this cost would be spread
over the project.
The property owners expressed further concern with the lack of
consideration of the contractor for the property owners indicating
times when property owners were not notified of work to be done
that would block their driveways.
Council stated that it would take this information into consideration
when considering future projects on which this same contractor may bid.
Fahey suggested that the specs be changed with regard to the curb
for any current projects in the City, and that lower curbing be
installed.
0'Banion requested a copy of the specifications, which Mr. Fahey
gave to him.
Change The City Engineer recommended approval of Change Order No. 2 with
Order No. 2 Danner Construction for the installation of additional catch basins
and storm sewer at the intersection of Sylvan and County Road C.
Agenda
Item ~lo. 8 P4r.
