r~INUrEs <br />City Council <br />July 8, 1987 <br />Personnel The City Attorney submitted to the Council for review a proposed <br />Ordinance ordinance amending the City's personnel ordinance as previously <br />agreed to by the Council. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 17a Council discussed compensatory time for non-exempt employees, noting <br />that clarification of this time was not included in the ordinance <br />amendment. Council informed the Attorney that the Personnel Ordinance <br />should indicate that compensatory time for non-exempt employees can be <br />accumulated to 40 hours and then the employee must take overtime pay <br />for any compensatory time above 40 hours. Also, employees should be <br />allowed to accumulate up to 40 hours of compensatory time and carry <br />that amount over to the following year, although the employee cannot <br />add to the 40 hours once it is accumulated. <br />The City Attorney reported that he would draft an ordinance amendment <br />dealing with compensatory time and present it to the Council at a <br />later date. <br />Council discussed the ordinance amendment before the Council for action, <br />questioning the three-month provision in Section 209.120 (D) indicating <br />that the City Attorney should determine whether this provision is in <br />conflict with ldorker's Compensation law. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE N0. 286 - AP4ENDIPIG CERTAIN SECTIONS <br />OF CHAPTER 209, RELATI~IG TO CITY PERSONNEL, <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA PROVIDED THAT SECTION 209.120 (D) IS <br />NOT IN COPJFLICT 41ITH IJORKER'S COMPENSATION LAW <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Comparable LaValle reported that he would make a recommendation on the issue of <br />Worth comparable worth in the near future. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 17b <br />1986 Audit The City Clerk requested that Council set a workshop meeting to review <br />Workshop the 1986 Audit report. <br />Agenda Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Item No. 17c <br />RESOLUTIOtJ N0. 87-7-317 - CALLING FOR A <br />I~IORKSHOP MEETING FOR k'EDNESDAY, AUGUST <br />5, 1987 AT 7:30 P.M.
