P1INUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />July 22, 1987 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />22nd day of July, 1987 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to order at 7:00 <br />A.M. and the following members of the Council were present at <br />roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESEPJT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Councilman Mr. William Blesener <br />Councilman Mr. Rick Collova <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />MED9BERS ABSENT: Councilman Mr. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. <br />Economic Development Comm. Mr. <br />Recording Secretary Mrs <br />Jim LaValle <br />Joseph Chlebeck <br />Gene Fasciana <br />Larry Lee <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Chris Mahai <br />Ken Flug <br />Ken ~lielson <br />Kathleen Glanzer <br />Mr. Ken Nielson, Business Development Services, presented the <br />Council with an outline of priorities set at a previous Council <br />workshop meeting for economic development within the City. Nielson <br />suggested that the Council and Economic Development Committee <br />review this list and expand the list or reprioritize the items, <br />if necessary. <br />Fahey indicated that he felt the top priority should be Section V <br />Industrial Development area of the City. Second priority should be <br />the acquisition of additional park and recreational property within <br />the City. <br />Scalze felt that the Council wanted to upgrade industrial development <br />generally within the City. <br />Blesener agreed that the City wanted to encourage good industrial <br />development, however wanted to address specifically the Centerville <br />Road area. <br />Fahey suggested that Medium Priority #3 as submitted by Nielson be <br />eliminated as it is already addressed as a Top Priority item. <br />Plielson suggested the the medium priorities dealing with the City <br />tax structure and environmental concerns were issues that needed <br />to be monitored versus specific action items. <br />Page -1- <br />
