MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 12, 1987 <br />Supplementary The City Clerk submitted to the Council a list of supplementary <br />Assessments assessments to be considered at the August 26th assessment hearing. <br />Agenda Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Item No. 20a <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-372 - ACCEPTING THE <br />SUPPLEMENTARY ASSESSMENTS AS SUBMITTED <br />BY THE CITY CLERK TO BE CONSIDERED AT TNE <br />ASSESSMENT HEARING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 26, 1987 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Scalze,'Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 398. <br />Gambling The City received an application for license renewal of the Class B <br />Permit gambling license to operate a pull-tab booth at Dick & Mary's from <br />Jacobsen the Jacobsen Memorial Auxiliary. <br />P4emori al <br />Auxiliary It was the concensus of the Council to make pull-tab licenses subject <br />to dedication of a 10% contribution of profits to the City's Park <br />Agenda and Development Fund. <br />Item No. 20b <br />LaValle pointed out that the license renewal should be subject to <br />receipt of a satisfactory police report. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-373 - APPROVING A CLASS <br />B GAMBLING PERMIT FOR JACOBSEN MEP40RIAL <br />AUXILIARY FOR PULL-TABS AT DICK & MARY'S <br />CONTINGENT UPON THE DONATION OF A 10% <br />CONTRIBUTION FROM PROFITS TO THE CITY'S <br />PARK AND DEVELOPMENT FUND AND C0~lTINGENT <br />UPON RECEIPT OF A SATISFACTORY POLICE REPORT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Collova, Blesener, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 399. <br />Assessment The City Clerk requested clarification on the City's assessment <br />Deferments deferment policy. <br />Agenda After researching the records, it was noted that the City has a <br />Addition policy set by Council resolution of granting assessment deferments <br />to senior citizens and to the disabled provided that they meet low <br />income standards as set forth in these resolutions. The policy also <br />states that these deferments will be reviewed every five years. <br />Page -19- <br />
