MI ~IUTES <br />City Council <br />August 26, 1987 <br />Park R~ Scalze requested that the Council review the time slips that were <br />Recreation submitted by Jim P~orelan, Jack Fitzgerald and Diane Husak for <br />Report consideration at the budget meeting. <br />Agenda Scalze reported that landscaping has been completed in Gervais Pnills <br />Item No. 28 Park. The landscaping was $260 over the bid as a wash-out needed to <br /> be repaired and some extra plantings were added. <br />Park Scalze reported that Lois Runyon has resigned from the Park Commission. <br />Commission Scalze pointed out that Runyon's term was due to expire on December <br />Vacancy 31, 1987 and it was recommended that the vacancy be advertised for <br /> the remaining 4 months of Runyon's term as well as a new term. <br />Agenda <br />Addition Scalze requested that a certificate of appreciation be sent to Runyon <br /> for her many years of service on the Commission. <br /> P1r. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-417 - AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE A VACANCY ON THE <br /> PARK COMMISSIOPI FOR THE BALANCE OF LOIS <br /> RUNYON'S TERP1 AS WELL AS AN ADDITIONAL THREE- <br /> YEAR TERP1 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (41 Fahey, Collova, Scalze, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 443. <br />Park Survey Scalze submitted to the Coiancil information on Decision Resources, a <br />market research firm which was interviewed by the Park Commission <br />Agenda with regard to a park survey for the City. Scalze asked that the <br />Addition Council review this information with thought to including other <br />issues in a park survey. Scalze suggested that the various Council <br />liaisons discuss this with their departments. <br />County The Council discussed Shoreview's recent action with regard to the <br />Library location of a County library in the northern suburbs. It was the <br />concensus of the Council not to take any action on this matter at <br />Hgenda this time. <br />Item No. 29a <br />Vouchers P4r.
