MINUTFS <br />City Council <br />August 26, 1987 <br />Wright The City Attorney recommended that a diagram of the area to be <br />Property needed for road construction be attached to the purchase agreement <br />(Cont.) with the Wright's. The Attorney also suggested that the City <br />Engineer stack the area prior to closing so that there are no <br />problems when construction begins. <br />County Road Scalze reported that no work has been done on the County Road B-2 <br />B-2 Lift lift station since the matter was discussed at the last Council <br />Station meeting. Scalze requested the Engineer determine what the problem <br />is, and, if necessary, a new electrician should be hired to <br />Agenda comp1ete the project. <br />Item No. 22 <br />The Engineer reported that he would check into the matter immediately. <br />Planner's The Planner requested that the Council review the proposed zoning <br />Report ordinance amendments that his office has submitted. <br />Agenda Scalze requested an up-date on Ryan's Industrial Park for the <br />Item No. 24 next Council meeting. <br />The Planner also reported that his office is working on the changes <br />for the City's Tax Increment Financing development districts. These <br />items will be discussed at the next Council meeting. <br />Thunder Fahey reported that the Canadian Days Committee is planning to attend <br />gay an anniversary celebration for the McGilvery Bagpipe Band in Thunder <br /> Bay on September 12. The Committee is flying to Thunder Bay and <br />Agenda has invited interested parties to join them. Cost of the trip is $111. <br />Item No. 25 <br />Piational Fahey reported that the League of Plinnesota Cities is asking for <br />Cities participation in National Cities Ideek activities from May 1 through <br />Day May 7, 1988. Fahey asked the Council to consider this and suggested <br /> that discussion be held at the next meeting. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 25 <br />Water Loss Blesener reported that the pumps at the booster station have been <br /> tested and it has been determined that the pumps are running 15% <br />Agenda fast. This accounts for the majority of the water loss the City <br />Item N0. 26 has experienced the past few years. Blesener reported that the <br /> City of St. Paul has been involved in the testing, and the City <br /> will have to negotiate with St. Paul for a refund on the overpayments <br /> that the City has made for water. Blesener felt that St. Paul will <br /> be receptive to making a refund. <br />Page -31- <br />
