MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Sept. 9, 1987 <br />Sewer & The City Engineer presented the sewer and watermain plans for the <br />Water Slumberland project and requested that the Council call for bids <br />Plans For for this improvement. <br />Slumberland <br />P1r. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Agenda <br />Addition RESOLUTION N0. 87-9-431 - APPROVING THE <br />SEWER AND WATER PLANS FOR THE SLUMBERLAND <br />PROJECT AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />AND CALLING FOR BIDS FOR THIS IMPROVEMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, laValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 456. <br />Twin Lake The City Engineer reported thai there are 13 different departments <br />Trail Berm at the State Highway Department which must review the plans for a <br />berm along Twin Lake Trail in the Highway Department right-of-way. <br />Agenda Also, the State will not allow the fill material to be hauled in <br />Addition from the freeway side of the right-of-way, and the fill must be <br />brought in from the road side. The State is also requesting <br />curb and gutter be installedalonq the freeway side of the berm <br />which the Engineer estimated could cost up to $10 per foot. <br />LaValle reported that the residents of Twin Lake Trail may have <br />already started the review process with the State, and suggested <br />that the Engineer discuss the matter with Jerry Bergeron. <br />Fahey suggested that the project may not be feasible given the <br />length of time it may take the State to review the proposal <br />as well as the added cost of curb and gutter. However, the Engineer <br />was instructed to pursue the matter with Mr. Bergeron and the State <br />and report back to the Council. <br />False Council reviewed the letter received from Fuel Economy regarding <br />Alarms false alarms at their business which were caused by climatic <br />conditions. Council was agreeable to deleting the charge for the <br />Agenda false alarm on August 25 as there was a storm in the area a couple <br />Item No. 12b of days prior to the false alarm, but felt the charge for the false <br />alarm on the 21st should stand as the police report indicated it was <br />caused by owner misuse. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-9-432 - DELETING TNE <br />FALSE ALARM REPORT CHARGE FOR FUEL ECONOMY <br />FOR THE FALSE ALARM RECEIVED ON AUGUST 25, <br />1987 BUT DECLARING TNAT TNE CHARGE FOR FALSE <br />ALARM REPORT RECEIVED ON AUGUST 21, 1987 IJILL <br />STAND <br />Page -17- <br />
