MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Sept. 9, 1987 <br />Multi- <br />Family <br />& TIF <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 4 <br />Outstanding <br />Service To <br />Youth Award <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 4 <br />LC/Vadnais <br />Heights <br />Chamber of <br />Commerce <br />Gambling <br />Permit <br />Fahey read a letter the City received from the Gregor Company <br />expressing interest in developing multi-family housing in the <br />City with the assistance of tax increment financing. Fahey <br />recommended that since there is no multiple dwelling property <br />in the City, he reply to the letter stating that the City could <br />not be of assistance. Council agreed. <br />Fahey read a letter from the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau <br />inviting the City or public to nominate outstanding volunteers for <br />their Outstanding Service to Youth Award. The deadline for nominations <br />is Friday, October 2, 1987 with awards to be made on November 12, 1987. <br />Fahey suggested that interested citizens or groups who wish to make a <br />nomination contact the City Clerk for further information. <br />Council reviewed the application for gambling permit received from the <br />Little Canada/Vadnais Heights Chamber of Commerce for a cadillac dinner <br />to be held at the Venetian Inn on Sunday, October 18, 1987. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-9-422 - APPROVING A <br />Flgenda GAPIBLIN6 PERMIT FOR THE LITTLE CANADA/ <br />Item No. 5 VADNAIS HEIGHTS CHAMQER OF COMMERCE FOR <br />A CADILLAC DI~INER TO BE HELD AT THE <br />VENETIAN INN ON SUNDAY, OCTOQER 18, 1987 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 447. <br />Noel Dr. The Council reviewed correspondence from the City Engineer regarding <br />Improvement David Wright's petition for the improvement of Noel Drive. <br />Agenda The City Engineer explained that he and the City Clerk have met with <br />Item No. 6 Mr. Wright and explained that he would have to pay the majority of the <br />cost of the improvement. Mr. Wright has indicated that he would like <br />the Council to call a public hearing on the improvement. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REJOLUTION N0. 87-9-423 - CALLING FOR A <br />PUftLIC HEARING ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1987 FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENT OF NOEL DRIVE AS PETITIONED FOR <br />BY DAVID WRIGHT <br />The fqr~going resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5 Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0 .
