MINUTES City Council Sept. 9, 1987 Dupre Fahey pointed out that the $500 invoice does not in~icate a charge Assessment for cutting weeds. Fahey also stated that it appears that there (Cont.) was no need for the silting fence. The Weed Inspector stated that the property had been filled and he thought there could be some soil washing from the Dupre property onto the Costa property. Blesener pointed out that the City contacted Mr. Dupre in writing in October of 1986 regarding the silting fence and that P1r. Dupre did not respond. The City then installed the fence in April of 1987. Blesener felt that the problem could have been avoided had P4r. Dupre responded to the City. Mr. Dupre reported that he did not respond as he did not feel there was an erosion problem. Dupre also pointed out the dry winter. Dupre reported that when the contractor put up the silting fence his survey stakes were removed. Fahey responded that the removal of survey stakes was a matter between Mr. Dupre and the contractor. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIODI N0. 87-9-424 - DELETING THE SUPPLEMENTARY ASSESSMENT TO THE DUPRE PROPERTY IN THE AP10UNT OF $500 BFlSED ON THE LACK OF EVIDENCE THAT A SILTING FENCE WAS NEEDED AND ALSO TNAT THE FEPlCE THAT WAS IPISTALLED DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A VALUE OF $500, CONTIDIGENT UPON P4R. DUPRE'S ALLOWING THE FENCE TO REMAIN The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 449. Tax Council decided to table discussion on Tax Increment Financing Increment Districts until the September 23 meeting when the Planner is Financing present. District Agenda Item No. 9 Page -8-
