The first
Variances variance is to erect a sign 40 feet in height, while maximum height
allowed under City Code is 25 feet. The second variance is for sign
Agenda area, with Slumberland requesting 380 square feet of sign area, while
Item No. 5 Code allows 200 square feet.
Fahey reported that the Planning Commission recommended approval of
the sign height variance pointing out similar variances that were
approved in the past for pronerties located along the freeway.
Nowever, both the Planning Commission and Planner have recommended
that the sign area variance be denied as there is no hardship
present to warrant granting a variance.
Page -1-
