MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Sept. 30, 1987 <br />that a repr•esentative of the sur•vey company make a pr•esentation to <br />the Council. <br />Scalze noted that the Par•k Commission is updating the Compr•ehensive <br />Par•k Plan and feels that a sur•vey is needed to get citizen input on <br />how City par•k ar•eas should be developed. <br />Council felt that the sur~vey company should be invited to the October~ <br />28 Council meeting to make a pr~esentation to the Council. <br />The City Cler~k pointed out that the Community Ser•vices por•tion of <br />the budget is a combination of sever•al catagor•ies in the 1987 budqet. <br />1988 pr•oposed budget for• Cor,munity Ser•vices is $26,392.00 ver•sus <br />$23,369 for• 1987. Council appr~oved this por~tion of the budget. <br />Next consider•ed is the Shade Tr•ee budget at $6,100 ver•sus ~6,320 <br />for 1987, which Council approved. <br />Council also appr~oved the Council budget at $34,070 for 1988 versus <br />$32,380 for~ 1987 as well as the Municipal Cour~t budget of $32,700 for• <br />198II ver•sus $30,250 for~ 1987. <br />Elections was appr•oved at $5,415 for• 1988 versus $5,920 for• 1987. <br />Council reviewed the Clerk's Office portion of the budget at $69,248 <br />for• 1988 ver~sus $66,230 for• 1987, as well as the Attor•ney 1988 budget <br />of $23,520 and the Engineer~ 1988 budget of $5,600. <br />The Planning budget at $15,500 for• 1988 and Insur~ance budget at $30,000 <br />for• 1988 wer•e appr•oved. <br />Council r•eviewed the City Hall budget of $13,374.00 for• 1988 as well <br />as increased the Economic Development 1988 budget to $3,000. <br />Council noted that the budget for• Police pr•otection is at $305,627 <br />for~ 1983, and Fahey suggested that he discuss this por•tion of the <br />budget wi th Commander• Ber•ger•on pr•i or~ to the October• 7 Speci al Counci 1 <br />meeting. <br />Fahey noted that the City Council has called a special meeting for~ 7:30 P.M. <br />Wednesday, October 7, 1987 to adopt the 1988 budget. <br />Ther•e being no fur~ther• business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:16 A.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />, <br />`% ~i (~ ~ _~;~ p, <br />I~.v.~ q,{;_/ Q~..~Li LY.~.yl~ t/l(_.. <br />V`- ~ <br />Kathleen 6lanzer~ <br />Recor~ding Secr~etar•y <br />Page -10- <br />
