MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Oct. 14, 1987 <br />Video P1r~. Collova noted cor•r•espondence the City has r~eceived fr~om Kath Bvos. <br />Tr•end r•egar~ding the Video Tr~end building on Rice Street. The building <br />Building r•ecently bur•ned and was boar~ded up. However•, it has been vandalized <br /> and there ar•e childr•en in the building in the evenings. <br />Agenda Collova r•epor~ted that the Building Inspector~ has sent a letter• to the <br />Item No. 14a owner•s of the building r•equesting that they abate the hazar•d within 30 <br /> days, or• else the City will. <br /> Blesener~ pointed out that the door•s of the building ar~e standing wide <br /> open and suggested that the City nail these door•s shut. <br /> Fahey agr•eed, pointing out that when the Fir•e Depar•tment was fighting <br /> the fir•e at the building, one of the fir•emen almost fell thr•ough the <br /> floor•. Fahey felt that the Building Inspector• should contact the <br /> owner•s and have the building boar~ded up within 24 hour•s or~ else the <br /> City would do it and assess the pr•oper~ty. <br /> Council agr•eed. <br />7_oning Council r•eviewed proposed Or~dinance No. 288 amending cer•tain sections <br />Or•dinance of the Zoning Code. <br />Amendments <br />Qlesener~ pointed out that under• section 903.030 if a home had a five <br />Agenda foot setback fr•om the pr•oper~ty line, a ter•r•ace, steps, uncover•ed <br />Item No. 14b por•ch, etc. could be built right up to the pr•oper•ty line. <br /> Council discussed this and indicated that the following language <br /> should be added to the end of the fir•st sentence in Section 6 <br /> 903.030.C.2. "or less than five (5) feet from a side lot line. . <br /> Under• commer•cial r~ecr•eation, Scalze r~eported that she r~eviewed past <br /> meeting minutes wher•e the Council discussed r~equir•ing a cer~tain amount <br /> of distance between a main mall entrance and an exter•ior~ access for~ <br /> a commer•cial r•ecr~eation use. <br /> Council discussed this and it was the concensus of the major•ity of <br /> the Council not to r~equir•e a minimum distance. <br /> Mr•. Fahey intr~oduced the following or•dinance and moved its adoption: <br /> ORDINANCC N0. 288 - AP9ENDING SECTIONS 902, <br /> 903, 907, 911, 912 AND 913 OF THE LI1'TLE <br /> CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE LITTLE CAPIADA <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> The foregoing or•dinance was duly seconded by Mr•. LaValle. <br /> Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Blesener~, Collova, Scalze. <br /> Nays (0). <br /> Or•di nance decl ar~ed adopted. <br />Page -19- <br />
