MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Oct. 14, 1987 <br />Law The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Collova. <br />Enfor~cement Ayes (4) alesener•, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. <br />(Cont.) Nays (0). <br />Mr•. LaValle abstained. <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 524. <br />Animal The City Cler~k submitted for~ appr•oval a contr•act for~ animal contr•ol <br />Control services with Animal Control and Management, Inc. which runs from <br />Contract October 1, 1987 through December 31, 1988. Cost of the service is <br />$527 per• month to the City. The City Cler•k r~ecommended appr•oval. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 12b Mr~. Fahey intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-10-497 - APPROVING AN <br />ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND ANIMAL CONTROL FlND MANAGEMENT, INC. <br />FROM OCTOBER 1, 1987 TNROUGH DECEMBER 31, <br />1988 AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY CLERK <br />The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener•. <br />~lays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 525. <br />Railr•oad Fahey pointed out the corr•espondence r•eceived fr•om the Soo Line <br />Whi stl e Rai 1 r•oad r•egar•di ng the Ci ty' s consi der•ati on of pr~ohi bi ti ng the <br />soundi ng of tr•ai n whi stl es at contr•ol l ed r•ai 1 r~oad cr~ossi ngs. The <br />Agenda railr~oad has indicated that if the City makes this pr•ohibition, <br />Item No. 12c the r•ailr~oad would not assume any liability in the event an accident <br />took place at such a cr~ossing. The r•ailr~oad cited a case wher~e such <br />an i nci dent occur•r•ed. <br />Fahey r•equested the City Attor•ney to r•eview the matter• and give <br />the Council an opinion at its November• 4th meeting. <br />p Blesener• pointed out cor•r•espondence the City has r•eceived r•egar•ding <br />OnwEdger•ton the Ci ty' s r•equest for• a 4-way stop at the i nter•secti on of Edger•ton <br />& LaBor•e Rd, and LaBor•e Road. The County has studied the inter~section and feels <br />a 4-way stop i s not r~equi r~ed. <br />Agenda glesener• suggested that a copy of the County's letter• be sent to <br />Item No. 13a Mr•s.
