MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Nov. 4, 1987 <br />Ramsey NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Little Canada <br />Count suppor•ts the Ramsey County Libr~ar•y Boar•d Resolution of September• 9, <br />Libr•ar 1987 with the follow~ng r•evisions to such r~esolution: <br />Development <br />(Cont.) 1. Maintain the existing r•efer•ence libr•ar•y function at, and expand <br />by 10,000 squar~e feet, the public ser•vice por~tion of the libr~ar•y <br />located in the City of Roseville; <br />2. Constr•uct a new 30,000 squar•e foot br•anch libr•ar•y facility with <br />library service (including administrative services) in the City <br />of Shor•evi ew on or• near• the Hi ghway 49 cor~r•i dor• wi th enough <br />land for• futur~e librar•y expansion with such facilities located <br />at or• near~ the midpoint on Highway 49 between Lar•penteur~ and <br />County Road J; <br />3. Constr~uct a new 10,000 squar~e foot br~anch libr•ar~y facility in the <br />City of Mounds View with enough land for~ futur~e expansion; <br />4. Pur~chase land near• the existing libr•ar•y facility in the City <br />of White Bear• Lake to be used for• futur•e expansion; <br />5. Pur~chase 1 and near• the Mapl ewood Mal l for~ futur•e 1 i br•ar•y faci 1 i ti es. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City of Little Canada ur~ges the Ramsey <br /> County Boar•d to r•emove the 1 i br•ar•y i ssue fr•om the tabl e for• adopti on <br /> and implementation of Libr•ar•y Boar•d Resolution 9-8-87. <br /> The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. If the Council <br />ill not be <br />it <br />Addition w <br />decides to r•eappoint the cur•rent member~s, then <br /> necessar~y to adver•tise the positions. <br />Ganzel The City Attor•ney r'epor~ted that the City will need a r~ight-of-entr~y <br />Easement easement to r~emove the stor•m sewer• pipe on the Ganzel pr~oper~ty. <br />Cont. It was the r~ecommendation of the Attor~ney that in the event the <br />Ganzel's do not grant the City this easement, condemnation pr•oceedings <br />should be begun for• the easement. <br />Page -18- <br />
