MINUTES City Council Dec. 9, 1987 Tr~ain Fahey asked the City Clerk to deter•mine if the sounding of whistles Whistles within the City was automatic and if the whistles ar•e being sounded (Cont.) at each r~ailr•oad cr~ossing. Fahey also asked the City Cler•k to contact the r~ailr•oad and deter•mine if they would cooper~ate and not sound whistles within the City when ther•e is no need to do so. Fahey asked the Cler•k to deter•mine what the r•ailr•oad is doing in other~ cities as well. Collova suggested that the r~ailr~oad could be asked not to sound whistles dur•ing the night-time hour•s. Fahey noted that the matter will again be discussed at the December• 30th Council meeting. Bike Path Scalze asked if the Ci'ty Engineer• has deter~mined if a bike path could On Demont be mar~ked on Demont. Agenda The City Engineer• r•epor~ted that the Highway Depar~tment has said that a Addition bike path cannot be mar•ked on the street, however•, with the small amount of tr•affic on that str~eet and the extr•a width, ther~e is plenty of room for• bikes on the str•eet. Assessment The City Engineer~ r•epor•ted that the Assessment Reappor•tionments as Reappor~tion- submitted for• Division No. 060955 and Division No. 061065 ar~e r•outine ment and r~ecommended appr•oval. Div Nos. 060955 ~ Mr~. Fahey intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: 061065 RESOLUTION N0. 87-12-572 - APPROVING THE Agenda ASSESSMENT REAPPORTIONMEMTS FOR DIVISION Addition N0. 060955 AND DIVISION N0. 061065 BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY ENGINEER The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. Ayes (4) Fahey, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declar•ed adopted. This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 623. tdeed & Tr•ee The City's Weed and Tr•ee Inspector• has r•equested a salar•y incr•ease for~ Inspector's 1988. Request For• Salar~y Council discussed the incr•ease r•equest and dir•ected the City Clerk Incr~ease to pr~ovi de them wi th the number• of hour~s the Inspector• wor~ks i n each position.
