MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 9, 1987 <br />County The City Engineer• submitted a letter~ dated December• 9, 1987 explaining <br />Ditch No. 7 that ther~e is a 200 foot section of County Ditch No. 7 fr~om County Road <br /> D to the fr~eeway in Vadnais Heights that needs to be cleaned. Vadnais <br />Agenda Heights has agr•eed to shar~e the cost of the cleaning with the City, <br />Addition the Engineer~ pointing out that the major•ity of the water~ flowinq thr•ough <br /> the ditch comes fr•om Little Canada. Estimated cost of the cleaning is <br /> $500. <br /> The Engi neer~ r•epor•ted that he met wi th the bJater•shed Di str•i ct on thi s <br /> ditch and ther~e ar•e some additional impr•ovements necessar•y to the ditch. <br /> However~, the Engineer• will discuss this matter• with the Council at a <br /> futur•e date as he is cur•r~ently studying var•ious alter•natives. <br /> Mr•. LaValle intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-12-575 - APPROVING THF <br />CITY S PARTICIPATION ALONG WITH THE CITY <br />OF VADNAIS HEIGHTS IN THE CLEAMING OF <br />COUNTY DITCH N0. 7, TOTAL COST OF THE <br />IMPROVEMENT ESTIMATED AT NOT TO EXCEED <br />$500, BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />CITY ENGIMEER <br />The for•egoing r~esolution was duly seconded by P~r•s. Scalze stated that heavy r~ain could wash this <br />Par•k debr•i s to a poi nt wher~e a bl ockage wi 11 occur• whi ch wi 11 r•esul t i n <br />flooding of the ar•ea. <br />Agenda <br />Addition The City Engineer• r•epor•ted that he would look at the situation. <br />Chr•istmas Fahey r•epor•ted that the Little Canada Bingo Hall will be holding a <br />Boutique Chr•istmas Boutique on Thur•sday and Fr~iday, December• 10 and 11 fr•om <br />1:30 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. Pr~oceeds fr~om the Boutique will go to the <br />Agenda City's Par•k Fund. <br />Addition <br />Cable TV Don Tar•nowski r•epor~ted that thr•ough the effor~ts of many people, <br />he r•eceived an awar~d for~ his br•oadcast of the Little Canada Canadian <br />Agenda Days Par•ade on Cable TU. <br />Addition <br />Tar•nowski also r•epor~ted that the City has cleared more than $7,000 <br />over• and above expenses fr~om Cable TV fr~anchise fees. <br />Page -8- <br />
