MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 13, 1988 <br />Building & Collova asked for~ Council dir~ection on how the Quilding Inspector~ <br />Zoning should proceed on complaints. Collova repor•ted that the City r•eceived <br />Complaints a complaint about an unsightly yar•d. Even though no Codes wer~e being <br />violated, the Building Inspector• talked to the pr•oper~ty owner• who indicated <br />Agenda that he would clean up the pr~oper•ty in the Spr~ing. <br />Item No. 11 <br />The Council felt that given the time of the year~, a Spr•ing clean-up <br />was r•easonable. <br />The Council felt that the manner• in which the Building Inspectar• wor•ks <br />with people on such complaints was good. <br />Recr•eation Scalze r•epor~ted that boys and gir•ls gymnastics began on Januar•y 11 <br />Repor~t wi th 67 chi 1 dr~en par•ti ci pati ng. Ther•e i s one gi r~l s basketbal l team <br /> of 4th and 5th gr•ader•s, and one gir~ls basketball team of 6th and 7th <br />Agenda gr•ader~s. Ther•e ar~e two boys basketball teams of 4th and 5th gr•ader•s <br />Item No. 12 and two boys basketball teams of 6th and 7th gr•ader•s. <br /> Scalze fur•ther• r•epor~ted that the annual childr•en's skating par•ty will <br /> be held on Febr~uar~y 6 fr~om 1 P.M. until 3 P.M. at the skating r•inks <br /> behind the Fir•e Hall. All childr~en of Little Canada ar~e invited to <br /> attend. Ther~e will be games, food, and clowns at no char~ge. <br /> Scalze also r•epor•ted that 80 childr•en have signed up to par•ticipate <br /> in skating lessons which began on January 9. <br />Scalze r•epor~ted that ther~e wer•e thr~ee r•epr•esentatives fr•om the Recr~eation <br />Association appointed to the boar•d of the ~lor~th Subur•ban Youth Association. <br />One member~ has r•esigned and the thr~ee member•s ser~ving on this boar~d for~ <br />1988 are Diane Nusak, Jim Cronick and Joe Lunders. <br />Decision Decision Resour•ces has submitted a contr•act for~ their~ wor•k in conducting <br />Resour•ces the upcoming City sur•vey. Fahey pointed out that while the Council has <br />Contr•act author•i zed Deci si on Resour•ces to move for•war•d wi th the sur~vey, the fi nal <br /> contr•act has not yet been appr•oved. <br />Haenda <br />Addition The contr•act amount is $4,800 for• a 60 question/unit sur•vey and each <br /> question/unit above 60 will cost an additional $60. Decision Resour•ces <br /> is also r•equesting 50% payment of the contr•act amount at this time. <br /> It was noted that the City Attor•ney has not r•eviewed the contr~act <br /> at this time. <br /> P9r~s. Scalze intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION ~.10. 88-1-18 - APPROVING TNE CONTRACT <br /> BY DECISION RESOURCES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br /> AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF <br /> OF THE CITY SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE CITY <br /> ATTORNEY. <br />p~„A -~~- <br />
