MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 13, 1988 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-1-16 - FlUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY FlTTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE OPTION <br />AGREEP4ENTS UP TO $21,729 PER ACRE FOR TNE <br />CENTERVILLE ROAD PROPERTY WHICH THE CITY IS <br />INTERESTED I~1 PURCHASIMG FOR PARK LAND <br />The for~egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr~. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener•, Collova, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 16. <br />Fahey again stated that the City would make a good-faith effor•t to <br />negoti ate for~ the pur~chase of the r•emai ni ng pr~oper•ty that the Ci ty <br />is interested in for park in the Centerville Road area keeping in <br />mind the option agr~eement just signed with Quality Blacktop as well <br />as the City's appr•aisal and the pur~chase pr•ice of the Slumber~land <br />pr~oper•ty. <br />Fahey instr•ucted the City Cler•k to place this matter• on the agenda <br />for• the fir•st Council meeting of each month for• the next 90 days <br />so that the City can keep on top of the situation in view of the 90-day <br />option signed with ~uality Blacktop. <br />Economic Fahey r•epor•ted that Mr•. Gustafson has not completed the mater•ials he <br />Development is wor•king on for• the Economic Development Committee, t~lhen these <br />mater~ials ar•e r•eady, Fahey would schedule another~ meeting of the <br />Economic Development Committee. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 8 <br />1988 Fir•e The Fir•e Depar~tment has submitted a 1988 Fir•e Contr~act with the City. <br />Contr~act <br />The City Attor~ney r•epor~ted that he has r•eviewed the contr•act and it <br />Agenda is in acceptable for•m. <br />Item No. 9 <br />Mr~s. Scalze intr~oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-1-17 - APPROVING THE <br />1988 FIRE CONTRACT AS SUBMITTED AND AUTFIORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AP1D CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE CONTRACT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The for~egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by P9r~.
