Blesener~ noted <br />that the gym is needed for• adult r~ecr•eation as well as youth. <br />Collova r•epor•ted that the School Distr~ict is at the point of choosing <br />an architect to draw up plans for the addition. Collova suggested <br />that the City infor•m the School Distr~ict about its feelings with <br />r•egar•d to the size of the gym. <br />Tr~axler• suggested that some explanation pr•oceed such a question as <br />most adults would assume that the gym would be full-sized. <br />Scalze r•epor~ted that the Mayor• questioned the wor~ding of question <br />No. 94 and it was suggested that the wor•d "r~esidential" be changed <br />to "ci ti zen" <br />Wehrle expressed concern with the wording of question No. 93 and felt <br />that the question should not solicit an either• or~ r•esponse. <br />Council discussed this wor•ding and felt it should r•emain as is. <br />Collova asked if the wor•ding of question 106 should be mor•e gener~al. <br />Tr~axler~ r•eplied that the r~espondents will not fix specifically on the <br />examples in the question, but will br•ing up ar•eas that they ar~e <br />concer~ne~ about. <br />Blesener• was concer~ned with the wor•ding of question No. 105. <br />Mor~r•is r~eplied that they have used this wor~ding in other~ cities <br />and the question does wor•k. <br />Blesener reported that the Recycling Committee has had a meeting <br />with tr~ash hauler•s r~egar~ding r~educing r•ates for• those citizens <br />who r•ecycle. Ther•efor~e, Blesener• suggested that question No. 1?_3 <br />be eliminated and question No. 122 r~ephr•ased asking citizens if <br />they would be agr•eeable to r•ecycle and compost yar~d waste in r~etur•n <br />for~ a 15% r~educti on i n thei r• tr•ash haul i ng costs. <br />Blesener asked the necessity of question No. 137. <br />Tr•axl er~ r•esponded that ther•e ar~e consi der•ably di ffer•ent atti tudes <br />between women who wor•k outside the home and women who do not. <br />Traxler replied that she will r~edraft the question/unit list as <br />revised, pointing out that the changes are minor in nature and <br />that a good many questions have been eliminated. <br />Paqe -~4- <br />
