The issues are different for each use. <br />(Cont.) <br />Blesener~ still felt the Capital View issue was combined with the <br />Little Canada School expansion. <br />It was decided by the Council to hold a wor•kshop meeting with the <br />Planning Commission as well as the City's committee on Thur~sday, <br />Mar•ch 10, 1988 at appr~oximately 8 P.M., following the Planning <br />Commission's r~egular• meeting to consider• the Capital View issue. <br />Fahey summar~ized that ther•e would be a 6:30 P.M. wor•kshop meeting on <br />Wednesday Mar~ch 9th with the Recr•eation Committee to discuss the City's <br />potential par•ticipation in the cost of an addition onto the Little <br />Canada Elementar~y School with some discussion on the Capital View <br />facility including indoor~ and outdoor r~ecr•eational facilities. Then, <br />on Thur~sday, Mar~ch 10, at appr•oximately 8 P.M. ther~e would be a joint <br />wor•kshop meeting of the Council, Planning Commission and Recr~eation <br />Committee to discuss Capital View. <br />Blesener• suggested that the School Distr•ict be updated on these matter•s. <br />Recess At this point in the meeting, 9:15 P.P1., Council took a short recess. <br />The meeting was r~econvened at 9:20 P.M. <br />1988 Sewer Blesener reviewed the proposed 1988 Sewer Budget reportinn that the <br />Budget total budget amount is $549,830 ver•sus $483,951 for• 1987. Blesener• <br />then r•eviewed the Metr•opolitan Waste Contr~ol Commission's statement <br />Agenda of 1988 sewer• ser•vice char~ges. Blesener~ also noted that 1987 was the <br />Item No. 16 final year• that the City had to pay a Phalen Lake over~flow char~ge. <br />Blesener reviewed the 1988 sewer rate and proposed that the rate wemain <br />Q C orrection the same as the 1987 rate. That is, $29.00 per quarter for residential <br />res. no. 88-3-g3 sewer• user~s and $1.60 per~ 1,000 gallons of water• used for• commer•cial <br />users. Blesener~ r~epor•ted that the break-even r•ate would be $32.83 <br />per quarter, however, due to cr~edits that the City will receive from <br />Metr~o Waste it is possible to r•etain the 1987 r•ate. <br />in t~s <br />Mr•. Blesener~ intr~oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-2-67 - APPROVING THE 1988 <br />SEWER [3UDGET AND ESTFlBLISNING A 1988 SEWER <br />RATE OF $29.00 PER QUARTER FOR RESIDEPITIAL <br />USERS AND $1.60 PER 1,000 GALLONS OF 4JATER <br />USED FOR COMMERCIAL USERS, WNICH IS THE SAME <br />RATE THAT WAS IN EFFECT DURING 1987 <br />Page -13- <br />
