MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Feb. 24, 1988 <br />Thunder~ Bay Scalze r•epor•ted that on Febr•uar~y 18th the Park Commission held a <br />Par•k Ar•ea meeti ng wi th the r•esi dents of the Thunder• Bay Ar•ea to r•ecei ve thei r~ <br /> input for• the development of the neighbor•hood par~k in this av~ea. <br />Agenda Scalze r•epor•ted that the Par•k Commission has funds budgeted for• 1988 <br />~ <br />18 <br />Item No for• gr•ading and tr•ail constr•uction within that par~k. Scalze fur•ther <br />. r~epor~ted that the matter• will go to the Planning Commission in Mar~ch <br /> for a r~ezoning of this property to Public, as the property is currently <br /> zoned R-1. <br /> Scalze r•epor•ted that as plans pr~oceed with the par•k, adjacent r•esidents <br /> will be invited to input fur~ther•. <br /> Scalze also r~epor~ted that PJSP is willing to wor~k with the City in the <br /> devel opment of thi s par~k ar•ea and a r~epr~esentati ve of ~1SP wi 11 attend <br /> the P9ar~ch Par~k Commission meeting to discuss the issue. <br /> Scalze r•epor~ted that r~esidents in the Thunder~ Bay ar~ea ar•e concer•ned <br /> about the use of the ar~ea by snowmobiler•s and thr•ee-wheeler~s, and it <br /> is the intention of the Par•k Commission to post the ar•ea prohibiting <br /> motorized vehicles. <br />Blesener• pointed out that plowing tr~ails dur•ing the winter~ will discourage <br />their• use by snowmobiler•s. <br />Fahey felt this matter• could be handled as a policing pr•oblem. <br />Unsitely Scalze r~epor~ted that some Thunder• Bay r•esidents expr~essed concer•n about <br />Yar~ds unsi ghtl.y yar•ds i n the ar•ea. They have been i nfor•med by the Bui 1 di ng <br />Inspector to bring this matter to the City Council. <br />Agenda <br />Addition Scalze r•epor•ted that the Building Inspector~ has talked to pr•oper~ty owner•s <br />to attempt to get these yar•ds cleaned up. Scalze felt that the Building <br />Inspector• should continue effor•ts to clean up the Thunder~ Bay ar•ea just <br />as he has in the Sylvan ar•ea. <br />Council agreed and Collova indicated that he will discuss the matter~ <br />with the Building Inspector~. <br />Thunder• Bay Scal ze r•epor•ted that i t wi 11 be necesar•y to sur•vey the Thunder• Bay <br />Par•k Ar•ea Par•k ar•ea in conjunction with developing par•k plans for~ the site. <br />Sur•vey Scalze r•epor~ted that money has been budgeted for• such a sur•vey. <br />Agenda The Ci ty Engi neer~ r•epor•ted that ther•e ar•e some i r•ons in the gr~ound <br />Addition alr•eady. <br />Blesener~ suggested that the City Engineer• deter•mine whatever~ wor•k is <br />necessar~y to complete a sur~vey of the site. <br />Mr•s.
