Final for• each building, however•, stated that this signage should be higher•
Plat (Cont.) class and smaller• than the sign Gar•dner• Bros. wanted to install.
Blesener~ stated that he would be in favor of a small sign listing all
the tenants of the mini-war~ehouse buildings.
Fahey noted that the Council has not appr•oved the final PUD Aqr~eement
and suggested that the Planner~ make some r•ecommendations for~ signage
which could be included as par~t of this agr•eement.
The Planner• noted that the Code provides for a maximum amount of signage,
however, the Code does not address the design of the sign.
Blesener~ felt the signage should be a par•t of the PUD Agr•eement and
pointed out that Gar•dner Br•os. has expr•essed inter~est in TIF assistance
for the pr~oject.
Fahey noted that a quality sign should be souaht by the City.
The Planner• asked if the Council wanted to review the quality of the
sign.
Blesener•, Scalze and Collova agr•eed that the Council should review
signage.
The Pl anner~ agr•eed that si gnage coul d be contr~ol l ed under• the PUD
Agreement.
Scalze noted that while the City will consider~ DeSoto as the fr•ont
yard for~ the mini-war•ehouse site, she asked whether~ Gardner~ Br•os.
would request the length of this building to be consider•ed in
calculating signage ar•ea allowed.
Fahey noted that signage can be contr•olled by Conditional Use Per~mit
and the City can contr•ol the size of signs, number of signs, their~
locations and their~ quality.
Scalze noted that a bond is needed for• scr~eening and landscaping.
The Planner agr~eed, but noted that this would be addr~essed in the
PUD Agr~eement. The PUD Agr•eement is not being consider•ed by the
Council this evening, but r•ather• final plat appr~oval.
Mr•.
