MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 25, 1988 <br />Day Camp Jim P9or~elan, Recr•eation Dir•ector~, appear•ed befor•e the Council r•equesting <br />Pr•ogr•am addi ti onal fundi ng for~ the Day Camp Pr•ogr•am to be hel d at Li ttl e Canada <br />School this summer~. Mor•elan r•eported that the additional funding is <br />Agenda necessar~y due to the high enr•ollment number~s. Mor~elan r•epor•ted that the <br />Addition Council pr•eviously appr~oved a$500 donation towar~ds the pr•ogr•am and he <br />would like to r~equest an additional $1,860 for~ a total of $2,360. The <br />major~ity of the pr•ogr•am has been funded by the Nor~th Suburban Youth <br />Association with a contr~ibution slightly over• $8,000. <br />Mor•el an r~epor•ted that the pr•ogr•am i s gear•ed towar•d outdoor• acti vi ti es <br />including tennis, natur~e study, outdoor• cr•afts and is similar~ to the <br />pr~ogr•am put on by the City of Roseville each year~. Par•ticipants have <br />pai d a$15 r~egi str•ati on fee. <br />Mr•. Blesener~ intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-5-220 - INCREASING THE <br />RECREATION BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,360 <br />FOR THE INCREASED COST OF THE DAY CAMP <br />PROGRAM AND DECREASING THE CONTINGENCY FUND <br />BY $2,360 <br />The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr~s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener•, Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r~esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 222. <br />Voting Council r~eviewed the r•ecommendation of the City Cler•k to pur•chase new <br />Machines voting machines for~ $12,850. This expenditur•e has been budgeted for•. <br />Agenda Mr•. LaValle intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />Item No. 19a <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-5-221 - APPROVING THE <br />PURCHASE OF NEW VOTING MACHINES IN TNE <br />AMOUNT OF $12,850 AS PROPOSED BY THE CITY <br />CLERK <br />The for~egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener•, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 223. <br />Council decided that the City's cur•r~ent voting machines should be offer~ed <br />for sale. <br />Mr•.
