MINUTES
City Council
May 25, 1988
Boosalis An additional 20 foot setback would make the pr•oject financially unfeasible.
CUP
(Cont.) Fahey stated that he would like to see the TIF number•'s with both a 40 foot
setback as well as a 50 to 60 foot setback. Fahey suggested that a
decision on the pr•oject be defer•r~ed until this infor~mation is available.
Scalze stated that she would like to see a dr~awing of the pr•oposed ber•m
fr•om the Rice Str•eet view.
Fahey stated that he would like to see the pr~oject wor•k and felt that the
City would miss an oppor•tunity if this pr•oposal is not put together• since
it includes development of the r~esidential proper•ty to the east.
Collova agr~eed that the number~s have to be looked at and if the 60 foot
setback is not feasible, then the 40 foot setback may have to be considered.
Boosalis r•equested that the matter~ be placed on the agenda of the next
Council meeting.
Townsley r~epor•ted that he will be out-of-town on the date of the next
meeting, June 8, and r•equested the oppor•tunity to be pr•esent when the
matter• is consider•ed again.
Council discussed the feasibility of holding a special meeting on June lst
and the City Planner• indicated that his office could have the TIF calculations
r~eady by that time.
The City Cler~k r•epor~ted that ther•e is not enough time to publish a special
meeting, and, ther•efor•e, the meeting would have to be a wor~kshop at which
the Council could take no for•mal action.
Townsley r•equested that if conclusions ar~e for•med at the wor~kshop meeting
and new infor~mation ar•ises that changes these conclusions, that no for•mal
action be taken until he could be present.
Council agr•eed.
Mr•.
