MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 8, 1988 <br />MSA Mr•s. Scalze introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />(Cont.) <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-6-242 - REQUESTING THE <br />COMMISSIONER OF HIGHWAYS TO APPROVE THE USE <br />OF MSA FUNDS FOR THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT AND AUTNORIZING REPAYMEMTS <br />FROM SUBSEQUENT ACCRUALS TO THE CONSTRUCTION <br />ACCOUNT OF THE MUNICIPAL STFlTE-AID STREET FUND <br />FOR THE CITY <br />The for•egoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr~. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 246. <br />Bow & 1"he City Cler•k r•epor~ted that the City has r~eceived an application fr•om <br />Ar•r~ow Mr•. Edwar~d Inman, 785 LaBor•e Road, for• a bow and ar•row per•mit to shoot <br />Per~mi t on hi s pr~oper•ty. The Sheri ff' s Depar•tment i s agr~eeabl e to the per~mi t <br /> pr•ovided it receives the appr•oval of the City Council. <br />Agtrda <br />Addition <br />Scalze stated that she was not in favor• of gr•anting the per•mit, pointing <br /> out that the City's Or•dinance pr•ohibits the shooting of bow and arrows <br /> within the City. <br /> The City Clerk agr~eed that such per~mits ar•e pr•ohibited unless appr•oved <br /> by the City Council. <br /> Collova stated that he was not opposed to gr~anting a per•mit for• shooting <br /> of bows and arr•ows within a contr~olled ar•cher•y r~ange. <br /> Scalze felt that problems would be cr•eated by appr•oving this per•mit and <br /> suggested that the City Council obtain the opinion of the City Attor•ney <br /> befor~e taking action on the permit r•equest. <br /> Fahey agreed and suggested that the Attor~ney give the Council an opinion <br /> including infor~mation on the liability issue as well as his exper•ience <br /> in other• cities. <br />Pl ay 21 The Ci ty has recei ved a r•equest fr•om Mar•i jo Gr•eeman for• a gambl i ng per~mi t <br />Request to allow Play 21 within the City. The Council concensus was to deny this <br /> per~mi t r•equest. <br />Agenda <br />Addition Mr•.
