MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 8, 1988 <br />Thunder• Scal ze r•epor•ted that r•efer•ences have been checked for~ Mi dwest Asphal t <br />Bay Park and they ar~e satisfactor•y. Scalze r~epor~ted that the bid amount is well <br />(Cont.) below the budget for• this wor•k, ther~efor•e, the Park Commission may want <br />to add a few additional impr~ovements to the job. <br />Scalze reported that while the Park Commission has not reviewed these <br />bids since their• next meeting is not until next week, the Par~k Consultant <br />is r•ecommending appr~oval of the low bid. <br />Mr•s. Scalze intr~oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-6-240 - ACCEPTING THE LOW BID <br />OF MIDWEST ASPHALT CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$22,984 FOR BITUMINOUS TRAIL CONSTRUCTION IN <br />THUNDER BAY PARK <br />The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener•, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 19, page 244. <br />Sophie/ Scalze r•epor~ted that the Building Inspector r~ecently contacted the developer~ <br />Peter~son of the Sophie/Peter•son Addition giving him until July lst to complete some <br />Addition items within that addition. The developer• has contacted the City to get <br />these items r~esolved, and the Par•k Consultant has given him the name of <br />Agenda Midwest Asphalt to tr~y to coor•dinate Thunder• Bay Park impr•ovements with <br />Addition wor•k in the Sophie/Peter•son Addition. It appear•s that the pr~oblems <br />identified will be resolved shortly. <br />MSA The City Cler•k submitted for• approval two resolutions appr•oving the appr~o- <br />Reimbur•sement pr•iation of State-Aid funds to the Little Canada Road br•idge impr•ovement. <br />The City Cler•k r•epor•ted that this may r~esult in a delay in the Countr•y <br />Agenda Dr~ive impr•ovement since the City had planned to use State-Aid funds for• <br />Item No. 14a that impr•ovement. <br />Mr•s. Scalze intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-6-241 - APPROVING THE <br />APPROPRIATION OF MUNICIPAL STATE-AID FUNDS <br />TO C.S.A.H. OR T.H. PROJECT <br />The for~egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr~. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Blesener~, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r~esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 245. <br />Page -14- <br />
