MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 8, 1988 <br />Schr•ier• alesener• suggested that the pr~oper~ty owner~s put together• a list of the <br />Townhome items that need attention and the City would tr•y to assist in getting <br />Development these matter•s r~esolved. <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr~. Fahey intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-6-234 - AUTHORIZING TNE <br />CITY ENGINEER, CITY PLANNER AND CITY ATTORNEY <br />TO WORK WITH THE BUILDING INSPECTOR TO ENSURE THAT, <br />TO THE EXTENT THAT THE CITY CAN REQUIRE COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE ISSUES RAISED REGARDING THE SCHRIER <br />ROUND LAKE TRAIL DEVELOPMENT THAT THESE ISSUES <br />BE RESOLVED, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY STAFF TO <br />REPORT BACK TO THE COUNCIL WITH A RECOMMENDED <br />COURSE OF ACTION AT THE JUNE 22, 1988 COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />The foregoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Blesener, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Qook No. 19, Page 238. <br />Recess At this point in the meetng, 8:30 P.P9., Council took a shor•t r•ecess. The <br />meeting was r•econvened at 8:38 P.M. <br />Saiko Fahey repor•ted that Mrs. Saiko, pr•oper•ty owner~ on Demont, has expr~essed <br />Dr•ainage concern about a dr•ainage problem she is exper~iencing. Water~ fr~om the <br />Pr•oblem Terr•ace Heights Mobilehome Par~k is being dir~ected towar•ds her~ pr~operty <br />and is ponding in the ar•ea. Saiko is exper~iencing a wet yar•d which <br />Agenda does not dr~y up as well as water~ in her• basement. <br />Addition <br />The City Engineer~ pr•esented the Council with plans for extension <br />of a pipe to direct the r•un-off into the Demont stor~m sewer~. The <br />Engineer• also suggested that some fr~ench piping be included which <br />wi 11 hel p the gr~ound water• pr•obl em. <br />The City Engineer~ also explained that he had been awar•e of the pr•oblem, <br />however•, the solution could not be included in the Demont pr•oject since <br />State aid funding was used on this pr•oject and inclusion of these <br />impr•ovements may have effected the project funding. <br />Fahey asked if it was the City's responsibility to alleviate ground <br />water~ problems. Fahey agr~eed, however~, that the r•un-off fr~om the <br />trailer court was a surface water problem. <br />Mr•s. Saiko r•epor~ted that he has lived on the pr~oper•ty for• 47 year•s and <br />it has only been the last II year•s that there has been a water• pr•oblem. <br />Page -7- <br />
