MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 22, 1988 <br />Dog Council reviewed proposed Ordinance No. 301, Dog Ordinance. The City <br />Or•dinance Cler•k r~epor•ted that Sheldon Anderson of Animal Contr•ol was scheduled <br />to appear~ at the meeting to discuss this pr•oposed or•dinance with the <br />Agenda Council, however•, he could not attend. <br />Item No. 12 <br />The City Cler~k pointed out that the or~dinance does not r•equire cats to <br />be licensed. <br />Scalze felt cats should be r~equir•ed to be leashed as well as licensed. <br />Fahey instructed the City Attorney to r•eview the or•dinance and include <br />these requir•ements if they have been omitted. <br />Blesener• pointed out that the or~dinance r~efer•s to licensing of kennel <br />operators, and the City does not allow kennels with the exception of vets. <br />Blesener~ also felt that pr•oof of vaccination should have to be submitted <br />at the time a license is applied for~. Blesener• fur•ther• pointed out that <br />the or•dinance does not addr•ess danger~ous or~ vicious dogs. <br />The City Attor•ney r•epor•ted that he will review the ordinance and pr•esent <br />a r•evision to the Council at their• next meeting. <br />Play 21 The City Attor~ney submitted to the Council a pr~oposed or•dinance pr•ohibiting <br />P1ay 21 as a game of chance within the City. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 13 Mr~s. Scalze intr•oduced the following or•dinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE N0. 302 - ADDING SECTION 701.170 AND <br />AMENOING SECTION 703.070(8) OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, PROHIBITING <br />BLACK JACK TABLES AND OTHER GAMBLING DEVICES <br />IN NON-INTOXICATING AND INTOXICATING LIQUOR <br />ESTABLISHMENTS <br />The for•egoing or•dinance was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener~, Fahey, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Or•dinance declared adopted. <br />Shoulder• On The City Engineer• r•epor~ted that he has discussed with the County their• <br />Little Canada blacktopping and installing cur~bing along the south shoulder• of Little <br />Road Canada Road between Schletty Dr•ive and the Fire Station. The County <br />has indicated that they will do the wor~k, however•, they will only pay <br />25% of the cost and the City will have to pay the r•emaining 75%. <br />It was noted that the County has done other• shoulder wor•k along Little <br />Canada Road at their expense and the Council felt the County should be <br />r~esponsible for~ this work as well since Little Canada Road is a County <br />r•oad. <br />The City Engineer~ stated that he would pur~sue the matter• further~ with the <br />County. <br />Page -20- <br />
